Alberto R. Lázaro

Alberto joined Andersen in January 1980 after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico with a BBA in Accounting.  He developed within Andersen to Audit Manager in 1985 and to Assurance Partner in 1994.  During June 2002, after 22 years with Andersen, eight as Assurance Partner, and upon its closing, he established Alberto R. Lázaro PSC.

During his tenure at Andersen, Alberto was responsible for serving multinational and local clients in diverse industries such as manufacturing, processing and distribution (pharmaceutical, medical, industrial and consumer goods), commercial services, telecommunications, energy, government and others.  As an Assurance Partner, he was directly responsible for leading client service teams in the delivery of the highest quality service to exceed clients’ expectations.

Alberto is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands and a Certified Government Financial Manager.  He is also a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants, US Virgin Islands Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Among the clients served while in Andersen were: Merck Sharp & Dohme, Cardinal Health,

US Filter (Vivendi), Hershey, SC Johnson, Colgate-Palmolive, Ferrero, Pennzoil Quaker State, Seven Up Bottling, International Paper, Waste Management, GTE (Puerto Rico Telephone and Codetel), Grupo Telefónica de España (TLD and MoviStar), ITT, Ricoh, Wackenhut, Texaco, EcoEléctrica and many others.

The clientele under his private practice represents a wide array of industries such as manufacturing, processing and distribution (pharmaceutical, medical, industrial and consumer goods), retail, restaurants, commercial services, telecommunications, construction, utilities, direct selling, and others.
